It really doesn't seem long ago that people were mourning the death of Basement in 2012, but having been back for over a year they're now ramping up their efforts ahead of their highly anticipated third album, and have now shared the title track 'Promise Everything'.
Whilst the single doesn't necessarily break any boundaries, it does serve as a great introduction to Basement's sound for those unfamiliar with the band. With the angst in tow, lyrics like "When I'm high I'm high/When I'm low I'm low" aren't their finest work, but I'm still expecting big things from the record, and the new single has fans making comparisons to cult 90s bands like Failure and Far ehich certainly isn't a bad thing.
The boys from Ipswich have made huge waves in their brief careers, amassing an army of fans throughout America and Europe and they only hope to expand upon that success with future releases.
Promise Everything is due to be released on 29th January 2016 by Run For Cover Records.
