Blur have announced that they are to release their first studio album in 12 years, entitled The Magic Whip. The album, due out on 27th April, was mainly been recorded in Hong Kong will be the first to feature guitarist Graham Coxon since 1999's 13, as Coxon left the band during the recording of the band's 2003 effort Think Tank.
The band has shared 'Go Out' as the first single, and while it's pretty catchy, it hasn't exactly got me that excited for what is to come. That being said, I'm sure there's plenty of people out there eagerly awaiting the release date.
Does this mark the return/revival of Britpop? Imagine a world where Blur and Oasis are battling it out again, 20 years after the initial rivalry...
