mewithoutYou recently announced that their sixth LP would be entitled Pale Horses and will serve as the band's first release in three years. If that wasn't enough, the album has been produced by fellow Philadelphian Will Yip and set to be released by Run For Cover Records which are both signs that it should be a quality offering.
Now 'Red Cow' has been shared with the world, and it doesn't disappoint. Many fans are hailing this as a return to the band's earlier, heavier days but the track still exhibits their interest in various religious teachings that they're explored of late (the title refers to a Red Heifer - a sacrifice in the Hebrew bible), and singer Aaron Weiss talks, sings and screams throughout the four minute track.
As ever with mewithoutYou, it's hard to predict exactly what to expect from the upcoming album but it's so far so good, and makes me eagerly anticipate its release on 16th June.
