Action Bronson has steadily been sharing songs from his major label debut album Mr. Wonderful, and the latest cut 'Baby Blue' features none other than Chance The Rapper.
A simple piano melody is the centrepiece of the track, and it's a more heartfelt number than we normally receive from Bronson, who even sings the hook whilst lamenting about the jealous and difficult women in his life. To be honest, it sounds more like a Chance The Rapper song, but that's not a bad thing either. Don't fear however, his over the top braggadocio is still present, with lyrics such as "I'm not exactly flawless / but I'm gorgeous just like a horse is." When Chance finally chimes in with the final verse, his lyrics wish the worst for the girl who left him, and his bars remind me of Chiddy Bang's remix of the Darwin Deez song 'Bad Day'.
I've listened to this track quite a lot over the past few days, and I've really fallen in love with it. It isn't the first time the two have joined forces either, having previously come together on Chance's 'NaNa' from his Acid Rap mixtape. It's got me sufficiently hyped for 24th March, the release date of the brilliantly named Mr. Wonderful.
If that's not enough for you, listen/watch 'Easy Rider' which was released all the way back in August, so this album has been a long time coming.
